Banijay announced the launch of a new division, “Banijay Sports”. Building on the group’s existing capabilities, the business will now look to broaden its efforts in sportainment, documentary and digital, via new partnerships, content investments and M&A.

Banijay unveiled its all-new branded content department – Banijay Branded Entertainment (BBE). Overseen by Carlotta Rossi Spencer, Head of Branded Entertainment Business Development, the division will leverage the group’s expansive global production expertise to deliver against brand briefs at both local and global levels.

Banijay UK has acquired leading scripted independent producer, The Forge. With key titles including Marriage, Help, Becoming Elizabeth or more recently The Buccaneers, the label has a well-established reputation for high quality, ambitious and award-winning TV drama.

Małgorzata Perkowska-Czaja

Managing Director, Endemol Shine Poland

Gosia joined from Rochstar, where she has spent a year as Managing Director and was responsible for devising and executing the label’s market and sales strategies to ensure a broadening of its client base. She also led on deal negotiations, format and film development, as well as commercial diversification and expansion. Previously, she spent seven years at Endemol Shine Poland as director of non-scripted sales.

Will Rowson

Creative Director, Dragonfly North

With two-decades worth of experience, Will is focused on driving growth for the outfit in the region and building on the indie’s current slate. He joins from Channel 4 where he spent four years as a commissioning editor having joined from True Vision in 2019.

Lia Abady

ESG Project Manager, Banijay

Lia joined Banijay in a newly devised role to focus on ESG reporting and will be working with ESG Director, Edouard Minc. Prior to this, she worked as a Communications and Sustainability Specialist at SolGold Plc and as a freelance consultant.

Kam Kular

Head of Internal Audit, Banijay

With over 20-years of internal audit experience within the media and entertainment industry, Kam joins from Channel 4 where she established and developed their first in-house audit function. She previously worked at Warner Media and PwC. In this new role, she will work to regroup risk management and internal audit under one pillar, providing specialised counsel and promoting best practice with regards to risk management and internal controls.

Hannah Griffiths

Head of Adaptation (Banijay UK / Banijay)

Hannah joined the Scripted team to focus on IP adaptation and reports to Patrick Holland and Christian Wikander. For the last seven years, she was Head of Literary Acquisitions at All3Media, and prior to this was the Editor and Publishing Director of Fiction and Paperbacks at Faber and Faber.

Lise Hassler

New Development and Creation Director, Banijay Productions France

Lise has moved to Banijay Productions France having worked at Banijay France since 2020. She first joined the business as Studies and Content Coordination Executive and then as Head of Studies and Content Coordination. In her new role, she looks after international format monitoring which includes liaising with distributors, participation in the development of new formats and adaptation of existing ones.
