Marathon Studio and Terence Films announced the adaptation of Frank Thilliez’s hit psychological thriller, Il Était Deux Fois for France Télévisions. Created by Eric Delafosse and France Jacquet and directed by Florian Thomas and Valentin Vincent, the six-part drama follows police captain Gabrielle Moscato (played by Odile Vuillemin) as she wakes up in 2025, 12 years after her daughter’s disappearance.
LALIGA Studios, a joint venture between Banijay Iberia and LALIGA, has partnered with Blend Studios, and M Content, to develop a brand-new film dedicated to the fascinating story of Spain’s first women’s footballer, Anita Carmona Ruiz, also known as Veleta.
Banijay UK’s Mam Tor Productions announced the adaptation of award-winning novel, Open Water for BBC iPlayer and BBC One. The eight-part series is based on Caleb Azumah Nelson’s multi-award-winning debut novel and will be distributed by Banijay Rights. Azumah Nelson will serve as the drama’s lead writer, director, and executive producer.

To support our women-focused accelerator program, Banijay Launch (MIPCOM Diversify TV Award winner), we partnered with the Geena David Institute and Every Woman Studios on a ground-breaking report on gender disparity in unscripted television spanning four territories (US, Brazil, UK and France).
We introduced Banijay Bootcamp, a new creative programme for scripted talent. Led by Steve Matthews, Head of Scripted, Creative, and facilitated through the established MIDPOINT Institute’s Series Launch programme, it pairs in-house execs with emerging writers for collaborative storytelling residencies.
Following the successful launch of the Screens of Tomorrow initiative in the scripted field, we partnered with Sparknews to fund and support the development and roll-out of an all-new unscripted version to support producers in integrating environmental and social narratives into their productions – it goes live soon.
We held our first ever Belong Week, a celebration of inclusivity and belonging, featuring a diverse range of events with our Embrace, Elle, Pride, and Green groups.
Deal or No Deal Island (Endemol Shine North America): #1 new unscripted show on NBC in 2024 and was the fastest-growing debut for an unscripted show.
By Land, Air and Sea (Endemol Shine Nederland): The launch was a huge success for RTL4, attracting 1.7M viewers and doubling the slot with a 34.7% share.
The Never Ever Mets (Bunim/Murray Productions): The first season ranked as the #1 original series on ad-supported cable, consistently driving double-digit growth throughout the series, and was watched by nearly 4M total viewers on OWN network.
Three are the Champions (Endemol Shine Germany/Potatohead Pictures): #1 show of the night for the commercial demo for both episodes, with over 1.8M viewers watching.
Ladette to Lady (Endemol Shine Nederland): It was successfully relaunched in the Netherlands on Prime Video after a 13-year hiatus.
Ripley (Endemol Shine North America): The series debuted in Netflix’s Top 10 English titles with 2.3M views and 16.9M hours viewed after only 4 days on the platform.
Desperate Lies (A Fabrica): The melodrama became the first Brazilian series to remain in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV series for two consecutive weeks.
Like Water for Chocolate (Endemol Shine Boomdog and Endemol Shine North America): Became HBO Max’s #1 Spanish speaking launch ever and remained in the top 10 programmes in 35 countries a month after.
Brocéliande (Shine Fiction / Les Films du Printemps): With 5.6M viewers, it was TF1’s best series in the slot since 2022.
Grøenlandia: Successful launches for Accidentally Famous (most watched series on Sky Italia), Qui non è Hollywood (best launch on Disney+ for an Italian original) and the new season of The Law According to Lidia Poet was back on Netflix’s Global Top 10.
For the first time, Banijay Rights ranked #1 in the Broadcast Distributor Survey, knocking BBC Studios off the top spot.
Banijay Rights’ CEO, Cathy Payne, received the Gold Award at C21’s International Format Awards in Cannes.
Banijay Rights now has 32 unique FAST channels in-play, with over 400 syndicated streams available. This includes the first ever dedicated Mr Bean FAST channel which rolled-out to dozens of territories worldwide.
Following the successful launch of six-part period drama series The Hardacres on Channel 5, global distribution deals have been secured in over 8 countries (Australia, Benelux, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, New Zealand and Spain).

Procidis acquisition: Banijay Kids & Family confirmed the majority acquisition of the French production company and creator of the famous edutaining saga Once Upon a Time…!
Totally Spies!: Returned with a seventh season after an 11-year hiatus – season 8 has already been confirmed, and a live-action young adult series, with Will Ferrell executive producing, was announced.
Mr Bean: Season 4 was confirmed, plus Banijay Kids & Family now represents brand & marketing, licensing, already confirming multiple agents and new products.
New commissions & launches: A raft of new shows premiered including Super Happy Magic Forest, ChimeraKeepers and MiniHeroes of the Forest.
Distribution: Significant distribution deals were secured for Banijay Kids & Family shows, plus the addition of premium third-party titles including Piripenguins and Stan & Gran, and lots of digital activity such as the launch of new hubchannels totalling 16 unique strands.

BD4 Productions: Premium production label launched in collaboration with award-winning filmmaker Daniel Silver, designed to meet the growing demand for premium documentary storytelling.
GloNation Studios: Hyphenate Media Group acquired Gloria Calderón Kellett’s company, which focuses on delivering premium content in every genre, in every format and for all audiences.
Balich Wonder Studio entered the French market with a minority investment in agency Black Lemon, specialised in producing powerful live experiences to luxury brands.
Balich Wonder Studio won bid to produce the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
Bureau Betak (The Independents Group) produced the Vogue World event in Paris.
